Sounds like a good idea. I don't collect many anymore but have a couple of thousand. Anyone need any? LOL I will email my beanie friends and let them know to come and say hi.

Hi Ian...I don't collect beanies anymore & have probably at least 1,500 I'd like to see go to good homes. It was fun though.
I've emailed some friends & hope they still get on their puters & will join the 'reunion'...(They seldom get on anymore. )

Hello Ian... Beanies were fun for a long time, but they just aren't the same. I still enjoy most of the people though, and it's fun to be able to talk to the oldies. LOL. At least this is a way of keeping in touch without having to go through the TY mods.

Hey Ian: Pat forwarded me the e you sent her when I asked her if she had your site address. You told someone else in the string to look to her or msjanie. I tried janie first, but couldn't find anything on her site, and know from experience that sometimes it takes days for her to get to her e's, so I wrote to Pat. The TY site has gotten rather sad. Sometimes it takes three days for posts to disappear off the page because people don't post there much anymore. I hope some of the old posters show up here. I see a few have. Have you heard anything from Mags lately?

I really appreciate the help from Pat. I didn't see anything on Janie's site either. I have not heard from Mags or any of the early Ty posters in a long time..but sure would like to hear from them. I noticed that about the Ty site...pretty slow! Maybe it will pick up when summer is over? Great to have you here and the others who have posted too. I hope more people find us here. Have a great nite! I'm here daily..lol.....so check in often and feel free to post about anything that interests you. Ian

Hi all!
I'm a "newer collector" having started in 2000, but as more tyme goes by, I guess I'm becoming one of the "older" collectors still posting on TyTalk haha. That's pretty much the only chat board I have a chance to keep active on, but since a little bird told me about this reunion, I wanted to stop in and say "Hey, what's up?" to everyone
I still collect some of all of Ty's lines. I've cut back due to space and budget issues, but I manage to get more than my share of newbies each month. There's way too many releases for me to even try to get them all, so it's actually made it easier for me to be more selective. And any I do pass on originally, I always hope to find at bargain situations later, it's not that I totally don't want them. I'm just able to be more patient on getting some of them if it means I can save money hahaha.
Besides staying active on the Ty board, I helped build the Ty Products informational database at Stashmatic.com recently. You did say we can mention other sites here right? If not let me know if I just flubbed by saying that haha. I also pitched in a bit on the new book that is due out in Oct. I've been really excited about both those projects. I also keep busy with my crafty stuff I like to do, my knitting and crochetting haha.
So that's basically it for the update on me haha. Hope you are all doing well and that you're all having fun with whatever you enjoy doing now. Enjoy your day!
Jenn

Hi again
Well, the book I mean is the Beanies Tracker third edition. I helped provide some of the info on the Ty Classics , especially their silent retirements etc. from the past few years. I have not seen the finished product yet but it promises to be awesome and chock full of info and great pictures. It's very exciting to know a new guide is coming out with info for all the Ty Product lines.
Same can be said for the data compiled online at Stashmatic.com. Never before has an online Ty Products database been so complete and the beauty of it is, all members can contribute by adding info and pictures.
Plus, Stashmatic.com is for all collectibles and not just Ty stuff. I've had fun organizing some of my "non-Ty" collections in their data base as well. It's a neat place, free to join and use- even nonmembers can access the info. They just can't track their collections unless they join. OK enough of the plugging haha. It's not my site but I am a member who really enjoys it
Take care everyone!
Jenn

Hey Jenn, You can plug the site as much as youw want to. I'll have to check it out...sounds nice! Do the Beanie Tracker books have price guides as well? I love the Classics and still have quite a few. I think the first Ty product we bought was a classic tiger. What else do you collect?
If you know any other collectors...please share this message board address with them. I think this will be a fun place to get info ...especially this winter when most of us are trapped indoors with cabin fever. Ian

Hey again
Sure thing! I believe the new guide will have a price guide in it. I was not involved with that part of it, so I couldn't comment on that.
Gosh, the easier question is probably what don't I collect these days haha. The short answer is I collect anything that catches my fancy- but mainly plush critters, like Ty, Boyds and some Gund, especially their Snuffles bears haha. I love food advertising stuff, especially candy and anything yummy looking that has been made into a plush item. I love gingerbread theme plush and other stuff, also food advertising kitchen utensils, like potholders, towels, cannisters, tins, cookie jars etc. I also dabble a tad in glass ornaments, porcelain flowers, like I said, what don't I collect haha.
And that's just "my" stuff, although Mr PBFP loves it all as well. He has his collections, the action figures, vintage toys, sports magazines, a handful of comics, etc. haha.
I seriously need to win the lottery and one day build a silly little museum for all my stuff once I'm gone haha. I don't know what kind of museum to call it, but my collections definitely could use "living" in a building much larger than my home is now hahaha.
If you go to Stashmatic.com and click on "People" you can then view my Stash and see some of the stuff I collect. I have an odd mix of "treasures" but they make me smile to have them haha. I don't think I'll ever be able to list everything I have. Most stuff I have no info for, so I'd just have to post a pic of it. The folks who run that site were very helpful in setting the Ty Products category up. So if there's something you collect and it isn't listed, add a new category or add items to the existing categories. It's sort of like a TyFolio for whatever you want to list, or is already listed. Plus it gives other pertinent info on most items.
Jenn
